In a match marking the Meninas da Gávea's debut in the Copinha, Flamengo defeated Grêmio 3-2. Mariana and Gica scored the goals, as well as an own goal. With the victory, Mengão earned three points in Group A.

Game
Just six minutes in, Grêmio opened the scoring with a penalty kick. Flamengo responded quickly, after Mariana crossed for Pimenta, who volleyed the ball against the crossbar.
The game was under control, with the red-and-blacks dominating, until, in the 28th minute, Mariana made a good play on the right and crossed low, but the defender, trying to intercept, scored an own goal. Soon after, in the 31st minute, Grêmio broke the tie again.

At 40, Mariana crossed again from the right to Pimenta, but the ball ended up in the hands of the opposing goalkeeper.

Just five minutes into the second half, Diovanna took a corner kick and nearly scored an Olympic goal. Mengão continued to press until Ana Donato's shot fell to Mariana, who headed the ball, which the goalkeeper saved, but scored on the rebound for the equalizer in the 5th minute.
In the 21st minute, Diovanna sent a corner kick to Gica's head to turn the game for Mengão. Ana Donato then took a long free kick that threatened the opponent's goal. The game ended, and Mengão won 3-2.

Next appointment
The Meninas da Gávea return to the field on Friday (8), to face Botafogo-PB. The match is valid for the 2nd round of the Copinha.
