In the Brazilian Under-18 Women's Championship, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Palmeiras on Thursday morning (11), at CT do Criciúma. The Rubro-Negro's goal was scored by Tuane, still in the first half. The next commitment of the Girls from Gávea will be against Internacional.

The game
In the opening minutes of the first half, the Meninas da Gávea attacked Palmeiras and soon opened the scoring. In the eighth minute, after a corner kick, Kaylane headed the ball, and Tuane finished it off to make it 1-0. Then, in the 14th minute, the São Paulo team was awarded a penalty. Giovana stepped up to take the penalty, but goalkeeper Yasmin made the save, preventing the green-and-white goal.

In the 21st minute, Palmeiras equalized with Carol Santos, who headed the ball into the net following a corner kick: 1-1. After conceding the equalizer, the red-and-black team changed its approach on the field and began waiting longer to counterattack. The first half ended tied.

In the second half, the Meninas da Gávea began to attack the Palmeiras team more and created some chances, especially from set pieces. In the ninth minute, Letícia received the ball in midfield and unleashed a powerful shot, but the goalkeeper jumped to the right corner, preventing the goal.

In the 13th minute, Maria Peck made a good run down the right, cut inside, and took a shot. The Alviverde goalkeeper saved it, and Tuane nearly scored for Flamengo on the rebound. In the 20th minute, Tuane again received the ball at the edge of the box, turned, and fired over the bar. Flamengo was the better team and had more possession, creating the better chances. The Meninas da Gávea pushed for the winning goal until the last minute, but the match ended in a draw.

In the next round, which will be played on Saturday (13), Meninas da Gávea will face Internacional, at 9:30 am, at CT do Criciúma.
