On Sunday afternoon (17), Flamengo ended its participation in the Brasileirão Sub-17 with a rout over Atlético Mineiro. Acting consistently throughout the match, the Meninas da Gávea beat their opponent 4-0. The goals were scored by Ana Donato, Maria Peck, Letícia and Mariana Fernandes.

In the 31st minute, Mariana Fernandes made a beautiful play down the left and passed to Ana Donato, who tapped it into the net. The second goal came soon after, with a perfect free kick from Peck. In the second half, Letícia capitalized on a great pass from Kaylane Júnior and made no mistake. The last goal came from Mariana's feet after a spectacular dribble past the goalkeeper.

With this result, the team finished the first stage with five points, having previously lost to São Paulo and tied with Ferroviária. For captain MF7, the team evolved in the tournament, matured from mistakes, and needs to look ahead.

"We're a young team, and we knew that, given the current situation, we'd face major challenges. Even in a short competition, we were able to see our progress. We showed grit and dedication in our performance on the field. Unfortunately, we didn't qualify, but now it's time to change gears and focus on what's ahead. The work continues, and the goal will always be to improve and win," he said after the match against Atlético.

The delegation returns to Rio de Janeiro today and the group of athletes who participated in the competition will return to training from Wednesday (20) at CEFAN.
