In the opening match of the Women's Carioca Championship, Flamengo thrashed Araruama 4-0 on Monday afternoon (7), in Gávea. Daiane, Glaucia and Crivelari (2) scored for Mengão, who got off to a good start in the competition. The red-black team will face Duque de Caxias in the next round.

The game
The Meninas da Gávea started the match dominating possession, taking the lead in the 10th minute. Gisseli crossed into the box and Daiane headed it in to make it 1-0. Three minutes later, Mengão extended their lead. Glaucia played a one-two with Gisseli, received the ball in the box, and slotted it into the corner to make it 2-0.

Flamengo continued to control the action and scored the third goal in the 21st minute. Fabi Simões crossed into the box and Crivelari extended the lead: 3-0. The first half ended with the advantage for Mais Querido.

After the break, the Meninas da Gávea scored the fourth goal in the 10th minute. Fabi Simões made a beautiful play and passed to Crivelari, who pushed the ball into the net, scoring his second goal of the match: 4-0.

For the rest of the game, the red-and-black team created many scoring opportunities, but the score remained at 4-0. A victory for the Meninas da Gávea debut.
