Flamengo thrashes Cuiabá and decides a place in the second phase of the Brasileirão Sub-18 against Fluminense
The girls from Gávea win 5-0 and will face the Rio team again on Friday, in the last qualifying round.

On the afternoon of this Wednesday (14), at CT do Sorocaba, in São Paulo, Flamengo beat Cuiabá, in a match valid for the fifth and penultimate round of the first phase of the Brazilian Under-18 Championship.
The Meninas da Gávea easily defeated their opponents 5-0, with goals from Lorena, Duda Rodrigues, Diovanna, and Jaqueline, as well as an own goal. With this result, the team has four wins and one draw in five matches and will face Fluminense in the final round for a spot in the second round.
The game
Flamengo gave their opponents no room. In the 16th minute of the first half, after a corner kick, Lorena headed the ball in and opened the scoring. A few minutes later, it was Duda Rodrigues' turn, skillfully, to put the ball into the back of the net in the 19th minute. In the 32nd minute, Diovanna extended the lead with a shot that hit the crossbar before bouncing into the net: 3-0.
In the second half, the first clear chance came from Maria Peck hitting the post in the sixth minute, but it didn't take long for the Mais Querido to seal the victory. In the ninth minute, Jaqueline made it 4-0 with a header. The fifth goal was an own goal in the 29th minute, thanks to a mistake by Cuiabá's captain, who tried to head in a red-and-black attack.
And now?
In the next round, the sixth and final of this stage of the competition, Rubro-Negro has a classic ahead. On Friday (16), at 10:30 am, our Meninas da Gávea take to the field to face Fluminense, fighting for a spot in the next stage. The teams already faced each other in the first round of the competition and Flamengo won: 3-0.
