In the seventh round of the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship, Flamengo defeated Esmac-PA 4-1 at Gávea. The match, held at 15 p.m., featured an attacking Flamengo, which, despite dominating, found itself behind late in the first half—but soon regained the focus and momentum to equalize and turn the game around. Núbia, Pimenta, Louvain, and Gica scored for Mengão.

With the result, O Mais Querido remains 100% in the competition - with 21 points in seven matches. The Meninas da Gávea return to the field next Tuesday (16), to face Fortaleza, away from home, for the Brasileirão Sub-20.

The game

The Meninas da Gávea started the match dictating the pace of play. The ball barely left the attacking half, with Flamengo looking for space in search of the first goal. In the 38th minute, Louvain hit the crossbar with a free kick—the Mais Querido's best chance so far.

ESMAC then opened the scoring: 0-1. The red-and-black team was not discouraged by the setback and immediately launched an attack. In the 49th minute, the equalizer arrived! From the penalty spot, Núbia leveled the score at Gávea: 1-1.

Flamengo came out swinging in the second half. And it didn't take long for the team's momentum to pay off. In the 13th minute, it was Pimenta's turn to convert the penalty. Mengão took the lead: 2-1.

In the 16th minute, Pimenta took off, entered the box, and shot against the post. On the rebound, from outside the box, Louvain hit a rare shot and scored Mengão's third goal of the game: 3-1.

In the 21st minute, Gica converted the third penalty for the Mais Querido. It was a rout: 4-1! The girls continued to attack and create more chances, but the goal from the number 9 gave the match its final score.
