Flamengo thrashes Esmac 5-0 in the Luso-Brazilian Women's Championship

In the eighth round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo beat Esmac 5-0 on Sunday afternoon (1), at Luso-Brasileiro. The Rubro-Negro's goals were scored by Leidiane (twice), Maria Alves, Duda and Duda Rodrigues. With the result, Mais Querido added 12 points and is in seventh place.
The game
The Gávea Girls started the match looking to attack, and after just six minutes, they opened the scoring. Gica made a good run down the right and crossed into the box, Leidiane caught it first time and scored Mengão's first goal: 1-0.
In the 19th minute, Rubro-Negro extended their lead. Maria Alves received a beautiful pass from Cris and slotted it past the goalkeeper: 2-0. Soon after, Mengão scored the third. Maria Alves went to the byline and crossed for Leidiane, who fired a first-time shot into the corner: 3-0.
The Meninas da Gávea continued to dominate the game and create attacking chances. In the 25th minute, Maria Alves reached the baseline and crossed. Duda took a shot, but the ball went wide. In the 36th minute, Duda took another chance, and the ball grazed the crossbar. The first half ended with a clear advantage for the red-and-blacks.
In the very first play of the second half, Duda controlled the ball and struck with his left foot to score Flamengo's fourth goal: 4-0. Despite having a large lead, Mengão continued to attack. In the 12th minute, Gica headed the ball, but the goalkeeper saved it. On the rebound, Leidiane nearly scored the fifth.
In the 27th minute, Maria Alves burst into the box alone, struck a powerful shot that the goalkeeper saved. In the 41st minute, Pimenta flicked the ball over the bar and nearly scored Flamengo's fifth.
To give the final numbers to the game, Duda Rodrigues scored the fifth for Mengão, scoring his first professional goal: 5-0. A great victory for the red-blacks in the Luso-Brazilian.
