Unbeaten status maintained and only reasons to celebrate! This Wednesday (15), the day that Flamengo completed 128 years of life, the Mengão U-20 team took no notice of Bangu in Moça Bonita and won 5-1, in a game valid for the fifth round of the Women's Rio Cup in the category. The goals were scored by Nina Garrit (2), Ingrid, Mariana and Ana Laura.
The game
The Meninas da Gávea took the initiative from the start and opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a well-worked play: Mariana exchanged passes with Kaylaine Jr. and passed to Ana Laura, who crossed perfectly for Ingrid to tap in. Dominating the game, Celso Silva's team extended their lead in stoppage time with a shot from Nina Garrit and went into the break 2-0 up.
In the second half, three minutes in, Ana Donato took a corner kick and Mariana took advantage: 3-0. The fourth was similar to the second, but with a reversal: Ingrid went to the baseline and left Ana Laura in a good position to score hers. In the 25th minute, Mariana challenged the goalkeeper and Nina Garrit made sure of the rebound: 5-0. Bangu pulled one back late, but the red-and-black victory was undeniable.
