Mengão continues to fly in the Brasileirão Women's U-20 Championship. On Wednesday afternoon, at Gávea, they thrashed Cefama 7-0 and remained atop Group C, now with 12 points from five games. They have four wins and only one loss. The game's goals were scored by Pimenta (2), Duda Rodrigues, Diovanna, Anna Luiza, Gica and Núbia. 

The game

It was a true Red-and-Black rout. In the first half, just two minutes into the match, Pimenta capitalized on a great cross into the box to score with a header. The same story repeated itself in the 2nd minute. The ball into the box and Pimenta scored with a header. 

In the 28th minute, Pimenta nearly completed her hat trick. She took two shots in a row, but the goalkeeper saved them. In stoppage time, Duda Rodrigues scored Mengão's third after a defensive error. 

In the second half, the Mais Querido continued its blistering pace. In the 7th minute, Diovanna unleashed a bomb to score the fourth. In the 17th minute, the game's most beautiful goal. Number 10 Anna Luiza played a one-two with Gica and found the top corner from outside the box: 5-0.

Her goal was missing. In the 23rd minute, captain and top scorer Gica pounced on the goalkeeper's rebound and put it in the net: 6-0 Mengo, not to mention the dance.

- It was a goal that was about to happen. I hit the post twice. Thank God everything worked out.

Defender Núbia closed the scoring in stoppage time with a beautiful goal. 

"We remain in the lead. It was a game where we didn't perform so well in the final third in the first half. But in the second half, we managed to get things right as the coach asked, and everything went well," concluded Gica.
