Flamengo thrashes Heips by a relentless 14-0 in the Women's Under-18 Carioca Championship

Mariana Fernandes was the star of the match with five goals scored

In the third round of the Carioca Women's Under-18 Championship, Flamengo had a great performance and thrashed Heips by a relentless 14-0 on Wednesday afternoon (24), at CEFAN. The goals for the red-black team were scored by Duda Rodrigues (3), Duda Basílio, Mariana Fernandes (5), Maria Peck (3), Letícia and Kethilyn.

The game
The Meninas da Gávea started the match attacking and nearly opened the scoring within two minutes. Mariana Fernandes dribbled past the goalkeeper, but Heips' defense arrived in time and cleared the ball. It didn't take long for Mengão to open the scoring. Ingrid provided a beautiful pass to Duda Rodrigues, who cut in diagonally and struck powerfully to make it 1-0.

In the 12th minute, Duda Basílio received the ball from Mariana Fernandes and shot into the corner to score the second for Mais Querido: 2-0. Then, as soon as the ball was released, Flamengo scored the third. Letícia provided a beautiful assist to Duda Rodrigues, who dribbled the goalkeeper and tapped it into the net: 3-0. And Mengão quickly added a fourth! Mariana Fernandes received the ball in good position, dribbled the goalkeeper and scored: 4-0.

Despite the lead, the red-and-black team didn't slow down, and the fifth goal came naturally in the 27th minute. Kethilyn made a good pass in midfield, and Duda Rodrigues dribbled past the goalkeeper and tapped it into the net: 5-0. In the 34th minute, Mariana Fernandes made a good play on the left, crossed into the box, and Maria Peck tapped it into the back of the net: 6-0. There was still time for the seventh before halftime. Duda Rodrigues made a good pass, and Mariana Fernandes dribbled past the goalkeeper and scored with a backheel: 7-0.

Just two minutes into the second half, Letícia scored Mengão's eighth goal with a shot from outside the box: 8-0. Afterwards, Maria Peck made a good play, dribbling past five defenders and striking with class from outside the box to score the ninth goal for the red-black team: 9-0.

At 8', after Heips' defense made a mistake, Mariana Fernandes controlled the ball and just touched it into the back of the net to score the tenth goal for Mais Querido: 10-0. At 16', Vitória launched it to Mariana Fernandes, who controlled it and hit it first to score a great goal, her fourth of the match: 11-0.

Flamengo continued to dominate the game and didn't slow down. In the 20th minute, Kethilyn crossed, and the ball eluded the goalkeeper and went into the back of the net: 12-0. In the 31st minute, Peck took a free kick, the goalkeeper rebounded, and Mariana Fernandes collected the rebound to score her fifth goal of the game: 13-0. In stoppage time, Duda crossed, and Maria Peck fired in from outside the box to make it 14-0.

Next appointment
The Girls from Gávea return to the field next Wednesday (01) to face Duque de Caxias, at 15 pm, at CEFAN.
