In the semifinal of the Carioca Women's Under-18 Championship, Flamengo thrashed LGD/Karanba 5-0 on Saturday morning (4), at CEFAN. The goals for the Gávea Girls were scored by Duda Rodrigues (3), Mariana Fernandes and Ingrid. With the result, the Gávea Girls are classified for the championship final.

The game
Less than a minute into the match, Mengão opened the scoring. Mariana Fernandes passed to Duda Rodrigues, who raced into the box and shot past the goalkeeper: 1-0. In the 10th minute, the Meninas da Gávea extended their lead! Duda Rodrigues assisted Mariana Fernandes, who got ahead of the goalkeeper and tapped the ball into the net: 2-0.

There wasn't even time to catch a breath, and Flamengo scored the third in the 12th minute. Naely sent Ingrid into the box, the number 10 subtly touched the ball past the goalkeeper and sent it into the net: 3-0. Flamengo controlled the game and faced little threat from Karanba. In the 32nd minute, another goal from Duda Rodrigues at CEFAN! The number 11 received the ball on the left side of the box, dribbled past the defense, the goalkeeper, and tapped it into the net: 4-0. The first half ended with a rout for Flamengo.

In the second half, Flamengo continued to dominate the match and dominated the attacking half. In the 30th minute, Duda Rodrigues scored her hat trick of the match and Mengão's fifth! The championship's top scorer advanced down the left, burst into the box, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and slotted the ball into the back of the net, completing the red-and-black rout at CEFAN: 5-0.

Now, the Meninas da Gávea await the winner of Vasco and Fluminense to find out their opponent in the final, which will be played in a single game next Wednesday (8).
