On a sunny afternoon in Gávea, Flamengo achieved another good result in the Campeonato Carioca Feminino. With goals from Mariana (2), Vitória Almeida and Jucinara, the Rubro-Negro thrashed Pérolas Negras 4-0 and reached six points in the competition.

The game

Pressing hard, the Meninas da Gávea kept their opponents at bay from the start and controlled the action without any scares. In the 6th minute, Chai made a good play, and Vitória Almeida nearly opened the scoring. Minutes later, the number 9 received the ball from Leidiane and fired it into the corner: 1-0.

After the technical timeout, the team stepped up and pressed even harder. In the 34th minute, Ana Laura took a corner kick, and the defense cleared it. On the rebound, Barraca sent a cross-shot, and Mariana deflected it into the back of the net: 2-0. The goal put the attacking midfielder in the top scorer's spot this season and sealed the final score of the first half.

In the second half, Rosana Augusto made changes, and the team maintained control of the match and continued to create good chances. In the 17th minute, Vitória lifted the ball, and Mariana headed it over. In the 21st minute, Barraca launched a pass from the defense, and Jucinara hit a beautiful header that chipped the ball over the goalkeeper: 3-0. As the ball came out, Mengão dispossessed Mariana, who was brought down, and the referee awarded a penalty. Number 43 stepped up to take the penalty and extended the lead to 4-0, sealing the victory. A rout and a convincing victory.

Mengão returns to the field on Saturday (4), to face Resende, at 15 pm, also at home, for the third round of the Carioca Feminino.
