Flamengo thrashes Real Heips 7-0 and is in the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship
Mais Querido ends the first phase with a 100% success rate and will face Fortaleza; Brendha, Isabela Nunes and Leane stand out in the victory

This Thursday (24), in Gávea, Flamengo took no notice of Real Heips, won 7-0 and sealed their place in the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship. Brendha (2), Leane (2), Cerqueira, Sofia and Alice scored the goals in the resounding victory.
The game
Even with the heavy rain that fell all afternoon, Flamengo didn't compromise its style and began building the result from the ball out. The team pressed hard, created numerous chances, and opened the scoring in the 15th minute with Brendha, following a beautiful pass from Emilly.
The dominance remained evident, and in the 25th minute, Isabela Nunes took a corner, Sofia split the ball high, and found the back of the net: 2-0. Emilly then lifted the ball into the box, Leane tried, and the ball fell clear for Cerqueira to head home for the third. The fourth came before halftime from another beautiful cross from Isabela Nunes. This time, Leane was the one to capitalize.
In the second half, the situation remained the same, and the Red-Blacks kept their composure to extend their lead. In the 17th minute, Isa Kotait was brought down, and the referee awarded a penalty. Brendha stepped up to take the penalty and converted: 5-0. Four minutes later, Isabela Nunes—one of the best players on the pitch—hit another perfect corner, and Leane beat the defense: 6-0. There was still time for Alice to seal the rout with another Isabela Nunes save: 7-0, and qualification for the next stage confirmed.
Next appointment
Mengão returns to the field next week to face Fortaleza, away from home, in the first game of the quarterfinals.
