Flamengo completed another excellent round in the final stretch of the Campeonato Carioca Feminino. This Saturday morning (18), playing at home and with nine players formed in the club's youth categories in the squad, the Rubro-Negro thrashed Real Heips 9-0, with goals from Mariana (3), Vitória Almeida (2), Glaucia (2), Duda Rodrigues and Valéria Cantuário. Next Saturday (18), the team faces Fluminense. Whoever wins will take the Taça Guanabara title.

The game

The team opened the scoring in the opening minutes of the match. Fernanda sent a short corner kick to Ana Laura, who crossed freely and found Vitória Almeida ready to score the first in an aerial duel. In the 3rd minute, Mengão's number 9 found the net again, latching onto another perfect cross—this time from Mariana. The third goal was built from scratch: Fernanda slipped the ball into the box, Vitória crossed, and Duda Rodrigues sped to the far post to slot home the winner. 

In the 29th minute, Mariana began a run of ferocious goals that culminated in her hat trick! Letícia left the attacking midfielder one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and she made no mistake: 4-0. The fifth goal came in the 33rd minute, after another clean cross from Ana Laura, which found the striker ready to swell the net. After the break, in the 21st minute, Mariana received a pass from Barraca in the box and slotted home another, making it six.

The second half continued with the Mais Querido pressing forward. In the 33rd minute, Valéria Cantuário attempted a cross for Mariana, but the goalkeeper parried it but found Glaucia ready to collect the rebound and score the seventh. The eighth goal also came from the number 10, who this time received Valéria's perfect cross at her feet. In stoppage time, Val hit a cannonball from the right to seal the victory: 9-0.

Mengão returns to the field on Saturday (25), to face Fluminense, at 15 pm, away from home.
