Flamengo defeated Vasco 4-1 this Sunday at Gávea Stadium, qualifying for the final of the Rio de Janeiro Women's Football Championship. The goals for the "Mais Querido" were scored by Pimentinha, Rayanne, Camila (own goal), and Darlene. In the final, Mengão will face Fluminense. Champions in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, the "Rubro-Negro" will be seeking its sixth state title. 

The game

O first time It was balanced and quite tight. But Flamengo managed to get ahead thanks to the lightning-fast striker Pimentinha. First, she hit the crossbar with a beautiful shot. And at the end of the half, they opened the scoring. Darlene found a great assist, and Pimentinha tapped it past goalkeeper Flor: 1-0.

O second half was largely dominated by the Mais Querido. In the 25th minute, Darlene, with another excellent assist, found Rayanne, who tapped the ball between goalkeeper Flor's legs: 2-0. Shortly after, the third came. Rafa Barros crossed into the box and Vasco defender Camila scored with a header. 

And the fourth had to be hers: Darlene. She dominated on the left, took out one opponent, took out another, and slotted it into the top corner past Flor. A stunning goal. Vasco even pulled one back in stoppage time with Carol. 

After the match, Darlene, the star of the game, spoke to FlaTV.

"We were stymied in the last game (against Vasco) because we couldn't impose our work. I said that if we went in with more desire than them, we would have won 4-0 at the very least. And we won 4-1. Now it's time to enjoy the victory and rest, because there's more to come," he said.

Darlene also engineered the decision.

"Expectations are high, but it won't be easy. Let's rest now and give our best in the final to take the title," he concluded.
