In a game valid for the tenth round of the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship, Flamengo thrashed Uda-AL 10-0 on Wednesday afternoon (31), in Gávea. Gica (3), Bruna (2), Ingrid Santos, Laysa, Núbia, Louvain and Kaylaine Jr. scored the goals for the red-blacks. Despite the victory, the Rubro-Negro failed to qualify for the next phase of the competition.
The game
The Meninas da Gávea started the match by taking the lead and exchanging passes on the attacking side. In the 10th minute, the red-and-black team conceded a dangerous free kick just outside the box. Louvain stepped up to take the shot and hit the crossbar. Two minutes later, Gica received the ball in the box and shot against the post.
In the 21st minute, Mengão opened the scoring at Gávea! Bruna received the ball in the box, took it to the byline, and rolled it back. Gica, well-positioned, finished it off: 1-0. Immediately after, Louvain took a corner kick and Gica, with a header, scored the second goal for the red-and-black team and his second of the match: 2-0.
The third goal came in the 40th minute of the first half. Laysa made an individual run down the right and crossed into the box for Bruna to head home: 3-0. The Meninas da Gávea went into the break with a strong lead.
In the second half, the Meninas da Gávea continued to press and scored the fourth and fifth goals in a row: in the eighth minute with Ingrid Santos, and in the ninth with Gica, who scored her hat trick in the game.
The sixth came again from Bruna's feet, who took advantage of the rebound in the small area and pushed it into the net, scoring her second goal of the match: 6-0. At 17', it was Laysa's turn to score hers and Mengão's seventh.
In the 31st minute, Gica was brought down in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. Núbia stepped up to take the kick and fired it into the corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 8-0. Five minutes later, Louvain delivered a perfect free kick to score the ninth goal for the red-and-blacks.
Kaylaine Jr. hit the ball from the edge of the box into the corner and scored Mengão's tenth goal: 10-0. Despite the rout, Rubro-Negro was unable to overcome Botafogo's goal difference and was left out of the second phase of the Brasileirão Feminino Sub-20.
