Flamengo thrashes Vitória/Santa Cruz-PE once again in the Brazilian Under-18 Championship
The girls from Gávea won once again and will decide the leadership of Group E in the next game.

On Monday night (22), Flamengo faced Vitória/Santa Cruz-PE and won 6-0 in the penultimate round of the first phase of the Brazilian Under-18 Women's Football Championship. The goals were scored by Maria Peck (three times), Vitória, Larissa and Aryeli.
This results in a total of five games, with four wins and one draw, totaling 13 points. So far, they have scored 32 goals and conceded two.
Closing the group stage, Flamengo returns to the field on Wednesday (24), at 10 am, against Vitória-BA at Arena de Pernambuco, in São Lourenço da Mata (PE). The match will define who takes the lead in the group, as both teams have equal campaigns.
The game
Flamengo's pressure began early, and it didn't take long for the red-and-blacks to open the scoring. In the third minute, Maria Peck burst into the box, received a great pass, and fired a powerful shot straight into the back of the net. The Pernambuco team tried to fight back but couldn't trouble goalkeeper Yasmin Luiz. Meanwhile, Flamengo's Vitória took advantage of a defensive lapse and extended the Mais Querido's lead in the 3th minute.
In the next play, Maria Peck burst into the box and was awarded a penalty. She took the penalty herself and struck brilliantly, making it 3-0. In the final stretch of the first half, Peck even managed to score her hat trick with an aerial play: 4-0.
The first play of the second half resulted in a goal. Samara, who had come on at halftime, sent a corner into the box, but Vitória's defense cleared it. However, Larissa was alert and took advantage to tap the ball into the back of the net.
Slowing down the pace and changing some players, the red-and-blacks controlled the result, and their opponents rarely had possession of the ball. In the 18th minute, it was Aryeli's turn to score her first goal of the competition, taking advantage of the goalkeeper's mistake and scoring her sixth of the night.
