With full focus on winning the title for the sixth time in history, Flamengo debuts in the 2021 Campeonato Carioca on Saturday afternoon (2), at 15 pm, against Duque de Caxias, at CEFAN. The game will be broadcast live on FlaTV directly from the venue.
In the first stage of the competition, known as the Guanabara Cup, the Mais Querido will face eleven matches. In fact, the team led by Celso Silva won the same stage of the tournament in the 2020 edition, which was played at the beginning of the season.
In the last training session before the match, left-back Sorriso promised to do her best to honor the Biggest Fan Base in the World on the field.
"We've completed our preparations and are highly motivated to pursue our sixth championship. The nation can expect a lot of dedication from all of us, as we want to end the season with this title. We've worked hard this past month and know the importance of starting with a win tomorrow," she analyzed.
Dispute format
All eleven clubs face off in a single round, with the top four advancing to the semifinal stage, which will be played in a single match. The final will follow the same format.
