Flamengo begins the Nike Premier Cup Women's Under-17 competition in Porto Feliz, SP
Mais Querido is in group B of the competition; its debut will be this Tuesday (9), against Grêmio
By Flamengo Communication - inMengão's women's youth team will face a major challenge this week: the Nike Premier Cup U-17. With a roster full of well-known names like Kaylane Júnior and Maria Peck (both now part of the senior squad), Mariana Fernandes (a standout since 2019), and newcomer Kethilyn, the Rubro-Negro has been training hard over the past two weeks and is ready.
The full delegation arrived in Porto Feliz, the venue for the competition, last Sunday (7). At the opening ceremony, the draw for the qualifying round took place, and each club was represented by a captain. With Mariana on stage, the Meninas da Gávea discovered that they will face Corinthians, Grêmio, and Vasco in group B. All matches will be held at the Desportivo Brasil training center.
"The group is very confident about the tournament. Besides being a completely different competition due to the age category, it's also a test for the Carioca U-18. Yesterday we had the bracket draw, and the anticipation for our debut has increased even more. The championship is a great opportunity to make history for Flamengo, and we know this responsibility.
