The Gávea Girls from the U-20 team are already in São Paulo to compete in the second phase of the Brazilian Women's Championship in the category! The red-black delegation arrived in the city early in the afternoon of this Sunday (22) and will play their first match tomorrow, against Corinthians, at 14 pm, at the Municipal Stadium Prefeito Gabriel Marques da Silva, in Santana de Parnaíba.

In the first phase, Mengão won four games, drew two, scored 24 goals, and conceded none (the competition's best defense). The top scorer is attacking midfielder Maria Peck (5), followed by forward Duda Rodrigues (4). Now, in Group H, the team will face Corinthians, Ferroviária, and Internacional. The top two teams will advance to the semifinals. In forward Gica's view, the team needs to be focused to achieve its goal.

"Our team was very consistent in the first phase, and that gives us a lot of confidence to impose our rhythm in the second phase as well. We were drawn in a group with tough matches, and we're prepared and confident. We'll give our all and stay focused to qualify," she analyzed.
