In a game valid for the sixth round of the Brazilian Women's Championship, Flamengo/Marinha was defeated by Corinthians 3-1 this Monday (31), at the Giulite Coutinho stadium, in Edson Passos-RJ. The Mais Querido's goal was scored by Jayanne in the first half.

O JOGO
Early in the match, Corinthians took the lead. Victoria Albuquerque stole the ball on the right, entered the penalty area, and took a shot. The ball went into the right corner of goalkeeper Kaká's net: 1-0. Then, in the 9th minute, the black and white team extended their lead through Adriana: 2-0.

The Flamengo reaction was swift! After a scramble at the edge of the box, the ball fell to Jayanne, who slotted it past the goalkeeper to reduce the lead to 2-1. For Flamengo, Kaká excelled, making some great saves. In the 27th minute, Corinthians descended down the left flank and Andressinha scored the third goal to make it 3-1. In the 44th minute, Flamengo nearly added a second. Debora Sorriso took a free kick into the box and Karen rose to the third floor to head it in. The ball went just wide of the crossbar.

Flamengo/Marinha returned for the second half attacking. In the 2nd minute, Debora Sorriso, again taking a free kick, lifted the ball into the box, and Ana Carla collected the rebound. The ball hit the crossbar. With their defense better aligned, the Meninas da Gávea were able to organize their attacking plays better and began to threaten the opponent's goal.

Corinthians, for their part, didn't give up on the attack and tried to extend their lead. Despite the red-and-black team's attempts, the black-and-whites prevailed and left the field with the victory.
