On Thursday night (17), Flamengo/Marinha went to the Pedro Basso stadium, in Foz do Iguaçu (PR), and faced Foz Cataratas/Coritiba. In a disputed match with good chances for both sides, the score ended 0-0.

With the result, Flamengo now has five points from four matches. So far, Flamengo has one win, two draws, and one loss in the tournament and remains in Group 2 of the Brazilian Women's Football Championship A-1.

The game
During the first half, Flamengo pressured the home team and created the best opportunities on counterattacks, but were ultimately thwarted by the opposing team's well-positioned defense. On the other side, Foz Cataratas came closer on two occasions, both of which were stopped by great saves from goalkeeper Kaká.

Coming out in search of a goal, the red-and-blacks started the second half attacking and came very close to opening the scoring with a few chances. However, their attempts were thwarted by the opposing goalkeeper and Foz's defense. Thus, the match remained tight until the final minutes, ending 0-0.

And now?
Flamengo/Marinha's next game is scheduled for Tuesday (22), at 15 pm, against Vitória (PE), at the Gávea stadium, in Rio de Janeiro.
