Flamengo/Marinha and Portuguesa duel for a spot in the Carioca Women's Championship final

Another decisive clash. This Sunday (18), Flamengo/Marinha hosts Portuguesa, at 15:30 pm, at the Gávea stadium, fighting for a place in the final of the Rio de Janeiro Women's Football Championship. The duel has free entry for the Nation to support the red-blacks.


The Meninas da Gávea have the best campaign in the state championship so far. In six games, they have six wins, 18 points, 33 goals scored, and none conceded. Flamengo is the only team with a 100% record.

Portuguesa reached the semifinals after beating Liga de Rio das Ostras 3-0 at the Luso Brasileiro. The team has the second-best record in Group B, with four wins, one draw, and one loss in the first stage, plus another positive result in the second stage of the competition.

In the group stage, Flamengo and Portuguesa faced off, and Mengão prevailed. Larissa (twice), Pâmela, and Dany Helena scored in a 4-0 victory.

Tickets

Dispute system
The tournament will be played in four phases and will conclude in November. The first phase will be divided into two groups, with six clubs in Group A and five in Group B. The format will be with teams from the first group facing those from the second in a single round.

The four top-ranked teams in each group advance to the second round. The matches will be single-leg matches, and the home team will be the team with the best record.

Whoever wins earns a spot in the semifinals, which will feature a crossover between the winners of games 1 and 2/3 and 4. The winning clubs will play the final on neutral ground.
