Flamengo/Marinha draws with Ferroviária in Gávea
The red-black girls pressed from start to finish, but were unable to score.
By Mariana Sa - inOn Thursday afternoon (25), Flamengo/Marinha hosted Ferroviária in Gávea in another round of the Brazilian Women's Football Championship and ended up drawing 0-0. This is the first time that the team has not won in the competition, having won five matches so far.
With the result, the red-blacks are in second place in the table, with 16 points in six rounds. The next challenge is scheduled for Wednesday (1), at 15 pm, against Sport in Gávea.
The game
The opening period was difficult. In a tight match with constant tight marking, Flamengo pressed but ran into Ferroviária's tough defense. With the strength of the attacking trio, chances began to come, but the opposition stopped them. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Kaká barely had to move. The best chances fell to Flávia and Larissa, but the goal failed to come, and the score remained 0-0.
The second half started off fast-paced, with both sides running around. The best chances came from Flávia, who had three great chances but couldn't convert. Applying intense pressure, the Red-Blacks remained on the attack the entire time, still unable to score, ending the match 0-0.
