Flamengo/Marinha faces Internacional in the first game of the quarterfinals of the Brasileirão Women's Championship
In the South, Rubro-Negras are confident of bringing a good result to decide the spot at home
By Rafael Rezende - inAfter two intense weeks of preparation, Flamengo/Marinha will return to play in the Brazilian Women's Championship on the afternoon of next Saturday (17), at 14 pm, against Internacional, at Sesc Campestre. The match will be valid for the quarterfinals.
In the first phase of the competition, Mais Querido finished fourth, with ten wins, two draws, and three losses. The team scored 46 goals and conceded only nine.
In a quick chat with the official website, coach Ricardo Abrantes analyzed the clash:
"It will be a very difficult match because Internacional has great players and an excellent coach. Winning is always more difficult in this knockout stage, but the girls have trained hard and are ready. Our goal is to avoid conceding any goals. We want to get at least a draw. Even with the equal squads, the goal is to come away with a good result."
Full-back Fernanda Palermo also highlighted the training and showed calmness:
"We've worked hard over the last two weeks, and we're confident. We know the quality of Internacional's team, but our expectations are positive. We'll go for the win. The game will be difficult, but I see that all the teams are thinking the same way in this second phase. We can't choose our opponents. Our idea is to approach each match as if it were a final."
The game will be broadcast on Twitter Brazilian Women's Championship.
