Flamengo/Marinha closes the first phase of the Women's Carioca against the CUFA Team
The match is scheduled for 15 pm this Sunday (06) and will be held once again at CEFAN
By Rafael Rezende - inThe historic 56-0 thrashing of Greminho is in the past, Flamengo/Marinha worked hard during the week and is ready to take the field for the last time in the first phase of the Campeonato Carioca Feminino. With qualification assured, the Meninas da Gávea will face the Seleção da CUFA, at 15 pm this Sunday (06), at CEFAN. Fans will have free access to the stadium.
Up until this game, the team's record this season is fourteen wins, three draws, and five losses. Rubro-Negro has scored 129 goals and conceded just 14. Raiza Santos (23 goals) is the team's top scorer this season, followed by Flavia (22) and Samhia Simão (17).
In a quick interview with Mais Querido's official website, Raiza assessed the duel:
"I hope we play another excellent match. We've been working hard in training and will try to develop our game to get a good result. We want to stay at the top of the competition."
Dispute format
Thirty teams are divided into six groups of five. The top two from each advance to the second phase, where another division takes place: three groups of four. In this scenario, the top three advance, along with the second-best overall team. The third phase will be the semifinals, on October 27th and November 3rd. Those who qualify will play the final, again with a home-and-away match, on November 10th and 17th.
