By Rafael Rezende - inAfter two weeks of training and a lot of preparation, it's time for the semi-final of the Brazilian Women's Championship! On the afternoon of next Sunday (08), Flamengo/Marinha will host Corinthians, at 14 pm, at the Kleber Andrade stadium, in Cariacica.
The Mais Querido's record this season so far is eleven wins, three draws, and three losses. The team has scored 49 goals and conceded 10.
Coach Ricardo Abrantes assessed Rubro-Negro's prospects in the match:
"Expectations are high. We always play very well when we're at home. Corinthians is on a long unbeaten run, but we'll try to break that and pass the buck to the other side. Our fans will be there, and we want to build a good score in this first match. The focus is on taking a good step toward the ultimate goal, which is the Brazilian title."
Ju, the team's standout, echoed the coach and took the opportunity to call on the Nation:
"We know Corinthians' quality, but we'll try to impose our rhythm from the start. We did that in both games against Inter and it worked, so we want to repeat it. We have high expectations and hope for our fans to be there at the Kleber Andrade stadium to support us in our quest for a positive result."
