With similar campaigns, the teams are directly fighting for first place in the table and will face off in front of their fans. Admission to the stadium will be free and the match will be broadcast on Twitter.
The Mais Querido is coming off a victory in the Brasileirão, having defeated Sport-PE 6-0 in the last round. The goals were scored by Flávia (twice), Raíza (twice), Fernanda and Gaby.

The teams have faced each other four times in the Brasileirão Feminino, with one victory for the red-and-blacks and three for Santos. Six goals have been scored and ten conceded.
The last clash was in the last round of the 2018 Brasileirão. At Gávea, Flamengo put on a show and won 4-0, with goals from Bárbara, Dany Helena, Flávia and Nathane.

Flamengo/Marinha in the Brazilian Championship
This will be Flamengo/Marinha's fifth appearance in the Brasileirão. Playing nationally since 2015, the red-and-black team won the title in 2016 and competed vigorously for the title in every edition. Last year, the team reached the semifinals. It's worth noting that Flamengo finished last year with the Campeonato Carioca title, its fourth since the partnership began.
Dispute system
Starting this season, the competition format will be different from previous years. This time, all 16 teams will face each other in a single round, alternating between home and away matches. The top eight teams advance to the quarterfinals and so on until the final. In the knockout stage, all matches will be home and away.
Having been one of the top eight teams last season, the regulations state that Flamengo will play eight matches at home and seven away.
In a Women's World Cup year, the competition is scheduled to take a break between rounds nine and ten. Therefore, the Meninas da Gávea will play at the end of May and return only in July.
