The game
The first half wasn't easy. Early on, Flamengo struggled to find space in Sport's defense, which barely attacked throughout the 90 minutes. Sitting deep, the defenders closed off the midfield and flanks, preventing the red-and-blacks from creating any good plays. In the 30th minute, Gaby took a corner kick, and Fernanda pounced on the loose ball in the box to open the scoring. Shortly after, Raíza received the ball, capitalized on her opponent's lapse, and doubled the lead. In stoppage time, Gaby smartly closed the score at 3-0 at halftime.
The second half was better, and Flamengo controlled the action from start to finish. Without conceding a single attack, Flamengo dominated the attack, scoring the fourth goal in the 11th minute with a Raíza header. Soon after, Flávia scored twice, one with a beautiful shot and the other from the penalty spot. Flamengo still had more chances, but the score remained unchanged: 6-0.
