The Brazilian Women's Championship is back! On Saturday afternoon (08), at 17 pm, Flamengo/Marinha will make its debut in the 2020 season against Santos. The match will be held at the Ulrico Mursa stadium, in São Paulo.
In 2019, after finishing in the top four during the tournament's qualifying phase, the Rubro-Negro eliminated Internacional in the quarterfinals but ultimately fell to Corinthians in the semifinals. At the end of the year, the team won its fifth Rio de Janeiro state championship.
"Our expectations are the best possible. We've worked hard these past few weeks and we're ready. The group is focused. We'll give our best and play calmly, because we want to win our championship debut," said midfielder Bruna Rosa.
The duel will be broadcast on CBFTV.

The tournament format will be the same as in 2019. All 16 clubs will face each other in a single round, with the top eight advancing. The knockout stage will feature home-and-away matches.
Having finished in a good position last year, Mais Querido will play eight matches at home and seven away.
A three-month break is planned. Therefore, the Meninas da Gávea will play until the end of May and will only return if they advance to the semifinals, in August.
