Race was the order of the day this Wednesday (26) in Gávea. As in all matches, Flamengo/Marinha entered the field with all the love and desire at the tip of the boot. Facing Corinthians in the first leg of the Brazilian Championship semifinal, the red-blacks scored twice with Dany Helena and Flavia, won 2-1 and goes to São Paulo with the advantage.

The first half saw excellent chances for both sides. In a tight match from the opening minute, with some good opportunities, Flamengo managed to open the scoring in the 23rd minute. Bárbara delivered a superb cross that found Dany Helena, who headed home to make it 1-0. The Mais Querido (Flamengo) got the better of the match, extending their lead in the 34th minute, when Flávia made a fine individual play and scored a stunning lob.

The final stage was even more difficult. With the Rio de Janeiro heat subsiding, Corinthians managed to get back into the game and pressed for an equalizer. In the 19th minute, the opposing team made a mistake in the box and reduced the deficit. Even so, the Red-Black team fought back, securing a 2-1 victory at Gávea.

The next meeting between the teams is already scheduled. On Wednesday, October 10th, Flamengo will travel to Parque São Jorge for the final clash against Corinthians for a spot in the Brasileirão Women's Championship final.
