Flamengo/Marinha faces Cruzeiro at home
In a match valid for the ninth round, Rubro-Negro wants victory to enter the classification zone

Flamengo/Marinha's busy week in the Brasileirão will have another important chapter this Sunday (13). After beating Iranduba 3-1 and drawing 1-1 with Ferroviária, the team will face Cruzeiro at 15 pm in Gávea. The match will be broadcast live on CBFTV via MyCujoo.
Currently, the Meninas da Gávea are in 11th place in the league with 11 points. Recently, the squad gained new faces: Kaylane (defensive midfielder) and Carol Ladaga (winger). Overall, the top scorer is forward Flávia (three goals) and the leading assist maker is Debora Sorriso (five). Cida has also been a standout performer, having scored twice in the last two games. In a brief interview with Mengão's official website, the goalscoring defender said that only victory matters.
"It will be a very difficult match, especially since the two teams are almost tied in the standings. Our obligation is to win, and we're going for it. We expect to get three points at home. We know Cruzeiro is a good team, we've analyzed their matches, and to get the win, we have to do everything we've trained for," he analyzed.
Flamengo/Marinha in the Brazilian Championship
This is Flamengo/Marinha's sixth appearance. Having played nationally since 2015, the team won the championship in 2016.
Dispute system
The tournament format is the same as in 2019. All 16 clubs face each other in a single round, with the top eight advancing. The knockout stage will feature home-and-away matches. Due to their strong finish last year, the Mais Querido will play eight matches at home and seven away.
