A tough match as a knockout stage demands. That was the match this Sunday (9), when Flamengo/Marinha went to the Municipal Stadium of Caçador, in Santa Catarina, to face Kindermann in the first leg of the quarterfinals. With a goal in the last minutes, the home team won 1-0.
The match started with a fierce battle and plenty of fouls. Under the blazing sun in Caçador, both teams pushed for the opener but were unable to break through the defense. Flamengo and Marinha took advantage of the space Kindermann created to create good opportunities, playing a consistent first half. Despite the chances created, the score remained 0-0.
In the second half, the situation remained unchanged. In a tight match, Flamengo struggled to reach goalkeeper Bárbara's goal, but managed to create a few opportunities with their attackers. However, in the 43rd minute, Kindermann scored through Giovana, making it 1-0.
The teams will face off again on Wednesday, September 19th, in the second leg of the quarterfinals. The match will be played at Gávea Stadium.
