Flamengo/Marinha faces Internacional in the second leg of the Women's Brasileirão quarterfinals
At home, Meninas da Gávea expect a tough match, but believe in their past record to secure qualification.
By Rafael Rezende - inAfter snatching a draw in injury time against Internacional at Sesc Campestre, Flamengo/Marinha will face the team from Rio Grande do Sul next Saturday (24), at 14 pm, in Gávea, for the second game of the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Women's Championship. Whoever advances will face Corinthians in the semifinal stage.
The Mais Querido's record so far this year is ten wins, three draws, and three losses. The team has scored 47 goals and conceded 10.
Starting in the last match, Ana Carla evaluated all aspects:
"Expectations are the best possible. We're on the rise and haven't lost at home yet. I believe our fans will turn out in force, and that's something that gives us even more energy. It really motivates us. We've trained hard, fixed some mistakes from the last game, and we're ready. We know it won't be easy because Inter plays so defensively, but we'll go after a positive result."
Right-back Raquel made a special request to the fans and mentioned the preparation:
"Being able to decide a game of this magnitude at home is very important. I'd like to ask for the nation's presence right now. We need the support of the entire fanbase on Saturday, as we know it will be a tough match. We'll go in focused, and we're preparing to put in a great performance and qualify."
The game will be broadcast on Twitter Brazilian Women's Championship.
