Flamengo/Marinha welcomes Ponte Preta in Edson Passos

The defeat to Santos is in the past, and Flamengo/Marinha has already turned the page. Seeking their first victory in the Brasileirão Feminino, the team will face Ponte Preta, on Wednesday night (12), at 19 pm, at the Giulite Coutinho Stadium, in Edson Passos. Entry for fans is free.
The competition's record, so far, is negative. But defender Karen, aware of the importance of home advantage, demonstrated motivation for the match.
"We need to win this game no matter what, and we're going for it. Since we're playing at home, the responsibility is all ours. We also want to play well, as that will restore our confidence. We know that a win is essential for us to remain confident in the championship. We have a lot of respect for Ponte Preta, who are also coming off a loss, but it's time to respond. We won't lack grit and dedication to get three points," he said.
Newly arrived at the club, striker Annaysa echoed her teammate and left a message.
"For this game, there's only one thought: to win. We'll go onto the field with this conviction, a lot of desire and determination. We need this victory and we'll do everything to get it," he summarized.

Flamengo/Marinha in the Brazilian Championship
This will be Flamengo/Marinha's sixth appearance. Having played nationally since 2015, the team won the championship in 2016.

The tournament format will be the same as in 2019. All 16 clubs will face each other in a single round, with the top eight advancing. The knockout stage will feature home-and-away matches.
Having finished in a good position last year, Mais Querido will play eight matches at home and seven away.
A three-month break is planned. Therefore, the Meninas da Gávea will play until the end of May and will only return if they advance to the semifinals, in August.
