This Thursday (30), Flamengo/Marinha returned and officially resumed training following health protocols. At CEFAN, the athletes spoke with the commission in the center of the field, respecting social distancing and, later, did their first ball practice. The new coach, Celso Silva, led the activities along with the technical staff.

All attendees were tested for COVID-19 earlier in the week and were eligible. One of the safety measures adopted was mandatory mask wearing, except during the physical activity.

Preparations for the match against Internacional in the Brazilian Women's Championship will be gradual. The team will have approximately one month of training before their return to the competition, scheduled for August 26th in Porto Alegre. At this initial stage, with the group available, the idea is to build match fitness through training progress.

"We're very happy to be back, knowing the importance of following the protocols. Celso has already shared a lot of new information with us today, and we'll work to live up to his trust. We'll soon be back on the field, determined to represent Flamengo/Marinha as we should. We want to achieve many victories," said Karen Rocha, defender and team captain.
