Flamengo/Marinha ends 2018 without losing at home
Rubro-negras drew only one match, winning all the others in Rio de Janeiro
By Mariana Sa - inFlamengo/Marinha were unbeatable at home in 2018. Playing in Rio de Janeiro, the red-and-blacks performed well and finished with a nearly 100% record, drawing only once. Since May 2, when they kicked off the 2018 season and beat Ponte Preta in the Brazilian Championship opener, Flamengo hasn't lost at Gávea or CEFAN.
In the first half of the Brasileirão, Mengo had a solid campaign with good results, qualifying with three rounds to spare. Playing at Gávea, the Mais Querido was undefeated once. With victories against Ponte Preta (1-0), Vitória-PE (4-2), Portuguesa (6-0), Audax (1-0), Foz Cataratas (2-0), and Santos (4-0), in addition to a draw against Rio Preto (1-1), the red-and-black team earned 19 of the 21 points played at home. In the knockout stage, they achieved two positive results against Kindermann (4-0) and Corinthians (2-1). Overall, they played 18 games, with ten wins, three draws, and five losses.
In the Campeonato Carioca, considering only the matches in which they were the home team, they played two games and won two (Duque de Caxias - 3-0; Liga de Arraial do Cabo; 14-0) in the first phase, in addition to winning in the quarterfinals (Liga de Volta Redonda - 3-0) and in the semifinals (Portuguesa - 4-0). Overall, they have seven wins in seven games.

In the Brazilian Championship's top scorers, Dany Helena finished with 15 goals, the top scorer of the entire competition, Bárbara with 8, Flávia with 6, Juliana with 3, Larissa and Fernanda with two, and Rafaela, Nathane, Pamela, Carol and Karen scored one goal each.
In Carioca, Larissa has 8 goals so far, followed by Pâmela (4); Raíza, Flávia and Dany Helena (3); Fernanda (2); and Daiana, Andressa, Karen, Camila, Ana Carla and Débora (1).
In total, they scored 70 goals this year and conceded only 23, all in the Brazilian Championship. They've played 25 games so far, with 17 wins, three draws, and five losses.
