Flamengo/Marinha goes to Pernambuco to face Vitória

Buoyed by recent positive results, Flamengo/Marinha will face another important challenge in the Brazilian Women's Football Championship. This Wednesday (11), the Meninas da Gávea will go to the Ewerson Simões Barbosa stadium, Barbosão, in the municipality of Chã Grande, located 82 kilometers from Recife, and face Vitória-PE.
Flamengo has 18 points and is in second place in Group 2, with five wins, three draws and one defeat in nine games.
Dispute system
In the first stage of the competition, the teams face each other in a home-and-away format. Then, the top four clubs from each of the two groups advance to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. All matches will be played in home-and-away format. The Brazilian champion also secures a spot in the 2019 Copa Libertadores.
the opponent
Vitória sits last in Group 2, with three points from nine matches. They've drawn three, lost six, scored five goals, and conceded 21.
Retrospect
This is the third time the teams have faced each other in the competition's history. In the 2016 Brazilian Championship, Flamengo hosted Vitória at Gávea and came from behind to win 3-1, with goals from Gaby, Pâmela, and Bárbara. In the current edition of the tournament, Flamengo/Marinha hosted the Pernambuco team at Gávea and won 4-2, with two goals from Bárbara, one from Pâmela, and one from Fernanda.
