Flamengo took to the field this Sunday to face Ferroviária in the quarterfinals of the Women's Super Cup. The match ended goalless, and the red-and-black team lost 6-5 on penalties. With this result, the team is eliminated from the tournament.

The game
Mengão started the match strongly. Darlene initiated a counterattack and passed to Gisseli, who shot on goal, but the opposing goalkeeper saved. Soon after, in the fifth minute, Fabi Simões made a good interception on the right and immediately passed the ball to Darlene, who chipped it over the bar, but the ball went wide. After her good play, Flamengo's new signing for the season, Fabi Simões, felt the pressure and made way for Duda to enter the field at Luso Brasileiro. The game was intense and well-thought-out, with the first half ending in a goalless draw.
The second half began with a strong play from the girls. Darlene made a good run down the right and crossed to Crivelari, who couldn't reach the ball to open the scoring for Mais Querido. Then, Duda delivered a good cross to Naná, who set up Cristiane to score, but the goal was disallowed for the number 10 being offside at the start of the play.
Cristiane, in the 22nd minute, took a shot from outside the area and the ball went wide of the goal.
The game, with intense heat, a lot of fatigue and cramps, ended in a 0-0 draw and the match headed to penalties.
The red-black team was defeated by Ferroviária and was left out of the semifinals
