Flamengo took to the field on Sunday afternoon (15), for the 9th round of the Brazilian Women's Championship. Playing at their opponent's home, in Caçador, the Meninas da Gávea were unable to overcome Avaí Kindermann and lost 1-0.

The game

Just nine minutes in, due to a blunder by the Flamengo defense, the opponents opened the scoring. Soon after, in the 11th minute, Flamengo responded with Thaisa's attempt. After the first goal of the match, both teams launched attacks several times, but without threatening the goalkeepers. Leidiane's last-minute effort from the first half gave Flamengo their last chance to go into the break with the equalizer, but the goalkeeper kept the ball after a corner kick.

In the second half, Flamengo increased their attacking intensity and created a threatening situation in the 18th minute, but Cris couldn't reach the ball, inches from the goal line.
