Flamengo loses to Botafogo and finishes second in the Women's Carioca Championship

In the second leg of the final of the Campeonato Carioca Feminino, Flamengo lost to Botafogo 2-0 on Saturday morning (5), in Gávea, and ended its participation in the competition in second place. In the first leg, the black and white team had already won 3-1.
The game
Needing to win by two goals or more, the Meninas da Gávea started the game pushing forward in search of the first goal. In the 11th minute, Jucinara took a dangerous free kick and forced goalkeeper Yasmin to palm it away.
But it was Botafogo who took the lead in the 28th minute. Kamilla received the ball at the edge of the box and fired a shot past Gabi Croco: 0-1. In stoppage time, the black and white team extended their lead with Camila, who took a free kick from midfield and chipped the ball over the red-black goalkeeper: 0-2.
In the second half, Flamengo continued to try their best to attack, but struggled to find the net. In the 14th minute, Jucinara took a free kick from distance and unleashed a powerful shot. Yasmin palmed it away for a corner. Despite their efforts, Flamengo was unable to turn the game around and ended up finishing as runners-up.
