This Tuesday (19), Flamengo took to the field to face Cruzeiro, in the 2nd round of the Brazilian Women's Championship and was beaten 2-1. The Rubro-Negro goal was scored by Giovanna Crivelari.
The game
The Gávea Girls started the game with a dangerous move: a free kick was headed by Daiane, who set up Jucinara to finish, but the ball was cleared off the line. After a counterattack, Cruzeiro opened the scoring.
Despite the goal, Flamengo continued to control the game and attacked well, until in the 30th minute, Jucinara's shot hit the opponent, leaving Cristiane to shoot, but the defender cleared it over the goal again. The first half ended 1-0 to Cruzeiro.
After the break, the opponents doubled their lead. The Meninas da Gávea, who were looking to bounce back, scored a goal after Cristiane's header fell to Crivelari, who finished to reduce the deficit. Glaucia then found a beautiful pass from the right for Crivelari to cross to Darlene, but the number 7 couldn't reach it.
Flamengo continued to press their opponents, first with Jucinara, who made a dangerous cross and the ball ended up falling to Duda, who hit it hard towards goal, but the goalkeeper saved.
In the 33rd minute, Darlene took a corner kick and Daiane headed it dangerously. Duda then made a great run down the left and shot, but the ball deflected wide. The match ended 2-1 for the opposing team.
