The game
The match began with the Meninas da Gávea taking the initiative and looking to attack. Cruzeiro also showed a willingness to attack, opening the scoring after just four minutes through Marília, who deflected the ball on the way past goalkeeper Kaká: 0-1.

The Gávea Girls tried to respond quickly, with a strong attack down the right flank. Duda received the ball inside the box and shot hard, but Rubi made a good save. The red-and-black team's start to the game wasn't the best, and Cruzeiro capitalized on mistakes to attack dangerously.
