In the Carioca Feminino semifinal, Flamengo lost to Fluminense 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon (17), in Gávea. With the result, the red-black team ended its participation in the State Championship.
The game
The derby started off quite tense in midfield, with a fierce battle for possession. The Tricolor team pushed forward more, but the Meninas da Gávea managed to neutralize the play. In the 19th minute, Rafa Barros took a shot from the middle of the field and nearly chipped it over the goalkeeper.
Little by little, the red-and-black team began to loosen up and began to attack more. In the 31st minute, a dangerous free kick for Flamengo. Jayanne stepped up to take the shot and fired it over the bar. With few opportunities created, the first half ended goalless.
The Gávea Girls returned with a different attitude for the second half and began to attack the Tricolor team more. In the 13th minute, Fluminense opened the scoring with Kaylanne, who tapped the ball past goalkeeper Kaká: 1-0.
In the 22nd minute, Letícia scored the second goal for the Tricolor, making it 2-0. Trailing, the red-and-black team rushed forward in search of a goal, but struggled to penetrate the opposing defense. "Mais Querido" (The Most Beloved) tried until the end, but left the field defeated.
