In the first leg of the Brasileirão Feminino quarterfinals, Flamengo was defeated by Internacional 3-1 on Monday night (15), at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium. Defender Daiane scored the only goal for Flamengo in the match. The second leg will take place next Monday (22), at Beira Rio.

The game
The match started evenly, with both teams sizing each other up. Six minutes in, the Meninas da Gávea created a threat for the first time. Inter's defense cleared the ball poorly, but Sole kept possession and passed it to Crivelari, who fired over the crossbar.

Internacional, who had the better of the match, opened the scoring in the 24th minute with striker Lelê, who took advantage of a deflected ball into the box and fired a flying kick to score the first goal of the game: 0-1.

After the goal, Flamengo tried to break out of their defense and attack by passing the ball, but struggled due to tight marking from the Colorado team. The first half ended with Flamengo trailing.

In the second half, Internacional came back better organized and were able to exchange passes more easily in the attacking half. In the 9th minute, Internacional extended their lead with Maiara, making it 0-2. Internacional also added a third goal with Lelê, making it 0-3.

Soon after, Flamengo responded and pulled one back through Daiane! From a set piece, Jucinara crossed into the box and the Flamengo defender rose with style to head the ball into the corner and reduce the deficit to 1-3.

The Meninas da Gávea tried to further reduce Inter's lead, but the game ended in a victory for the red-and-blacks. To advance to the next stage, the red-and-blacks will need to win by three goals in the second leg. If they win by two, the match will go to penalties.

The Meninas da Gávea return to the field next Monday (22) to face Internacional again, at 15 pm, at Beira Rio, for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Brasileirão Feminino.
