On Saturday afternoon (19), Flamengo lost to Red Bull Bragantino 2-0, at CPD Atibaia, in a match valid for the sixth round of the Brazilian Women's Championship.

The game

The match started off competitively, with good chances for both sides. In the 11th minute, Thayslane capitalized on a rebound from the Flamengo defense and opened the scoring for Red Bull Bragantino. Flamengo then created good opportunities through Fabi Simões and Valéria Cantuário, but the opposing goalkeeper made two difficult saves. In the closing stages, Thayslane doubled the lead for the home side, who had a player sent off shortly after. Before halftime, Djeni took a dangerous free kick, the ball went just wide, and the first half ended 2-0.

Upon their return, the Mais Querido (Team of the Year) played the entire game in attack and applied intense pressure. The team arrived several times, especially from set pieces. In the opening twenty minutes, a shot from Glaucia hit the post, Agustina nearly scored with a header, and Djeni forced Thalya to perform a miracle. Despite their overwhelming dominance and a few changes from Maurício Salgado along the way, the Meninas da Gávea tried hard but were unable to turn the score around and were defeated 2-0.
