In the third round of the Brazil Ladies Cup, Flamengo was defeated by Santos 4-1 on Thursday afternoon (16), at the Santana de Parnaíba Municipal Stadium, in São Paulo. Rafa Barros, who came on in the second half, scored the red-black goal in the match. With the result, the Meninas da Gávea ended their participation in the tournament.

The game
The match began with both teams closely studying each other. Just three minutes in, Flamengo threatened and nearly opened the scoring. Pimentinha was released and shot against the post. Pimenta grabbed the rebound, but the Santos goalkeeper came out well to prevent the goal. In the 11th minute, Santos took the lead through Gi Fernandes, who capitalized on a rebounded ball in the box to score: 1-0.

In the 24th minute, the São Paulo team extended their lead with Ketlen. Another rebound from the box was picked up by the striker, who made it 2-0. Santos continued to be more efficient and scored the third goal through Erikinha, who advanced behind Pimentinha and unleashed a powerful shot: 3-0. The first half ended with a solid lead for the Vila Belmiro team.

Just two minutes into the second half, Flamengo reduced the deficit. Dani Ortolan received the ball deep on the right and passed it to Rafa Barros, who finished: 3-1. Flamengo improved their performance and began to threaten the Santos goal more. In the 10th minute, Darlene delivered a perfect cross to Dani Ortolan. The defenders managed to hamper the Flamengo forward, and the ball went out of bounds.

At 28', the ball entered the red-black area and Ketlen again took advantage of the ball's bounce and shot: 4-1. With the defeat, the red-black team said goodbye to the competition.
