The event featured the participation of social projects that promote the sport in Rio de Janeiro
By Flamengo Communication - inOn Saturday morning (8), Flamengo held the first festival for the club's partner groups that promote women's football in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The event took place at CEFAN and was attended by the projects CAFF CampoGrandense, CF4, Dellas Gol, Garotas Amam Futebol and Team Chicago.
Upon arriving at the Meninas da Gávea training facility, the coordinators were greeted by André Rocha, the Mais Querido's sports manager. He chatted with everyone in the meeting room, while the athletes went straight to the field. Afterwards, the teams competed in an internal tournament that also included the Rubro-Negro U-15 team, formed with funding from Vale through the Federal Sports Incentive Law.
"Today we begin a new phase in the club's women's soccer program. With support from the Incentive Law, we will be able to expand the work carried out in our youth teams to partner centers throughout the country. 500 girls, ages 7 to 17, will be impacted by this first phase of implementation," said André.
Without a doubt, the young girls had a very special and unforgettable day. More events like this will happen soon, always with a focus on further developing the sport.
