The 13-0 thrashing of LBD/Porto Real in the debut of the Campeonato Carioca renewed Flamengo/Marinha's spirits for the season, and the Meninas da Gávea have a new commitment this Wednesday afternoon (25). At CEFAN, the team led by Ricardo Abrantes will face Campo Grande, at 15 pm. Entry for fans is free.

With a record of twelve wins, three draws and five defeats this year, Rubro-Negro scored 63 goals and conceded 14. Larissa and Raiza (11 goals each) are the team's top scorers, followed by Flavia (7) and Gaby (5).

Starting in the last match, full-back Debora Oliveira stressed that the team needs to be focused to secure another victory:

"The match against Campo Grande will be crucial for our championship ambitions. We're very focused and have to maintain the same pace as our debut to continue improving. We need to add three more points, and we'll give it our all."

Dispute format

Thirty teams are divided into six groups of five. The top two from each advance to the second phase, where another division takes place: three groups of four. In this scenario, the top three advance, along with the second-best overall team. The third phase will be the semifinals, on October 27th and November 3rd. Those who qualify will play the final, again with a home-and-away match, on November 10th and 17th.
