Flamengo strengthens its women's football coaching staff

Five new professionals arrive to improve the quality of the work carried out with Meninas da Gávea

Increasingly focused on the development of women's soccer, Flamengo didn't just focus on its own squad at the start of the season. With six players announced (Thais Regina, Nath Pitbull, Karol Alves, Louvain, Tuca, and Agustina), the club also made moves off the field, bringing in reinforcements for the coaching staff.

Former goalkeeper Thays Guimarães is the new assistant. Having played for Bahia, Ferroviária, and Uberlândia, she will provide direct support to Mister Luis Andrade on a daily basis. Felipe França, formerly of the Brazilian national team and Internacional, is the new goalkeeping coach. An experienced goalkeeper, he previously worked with Bárbara, currently playing for the Mais Querido, at Avaí Kindermann.

In addition to the two, physiologist Pedro Moreno, psychologist Vanessa Backes (both formerly of Vasco), and physiotherapist Letícia Ribas also arrive. It's worth noting that Letícia participated in the entire cycle of the U-20 National Team and won a bronze medal, alongside Cris and Kaylaine Júnior, at the World Cup held in Costa Rica in August of last year. They are all participating in the preseason in Pinheiral alongside the former members.

"We continue working on our planning and have strengthened our committee to further enhance our work. We've added five professionals and are very confident that we'll have a great season," said André Rocha, Mengão's coordinator.
